gigiharley 0 Posted April 1, 2014 I am 3 1/2 weeks post op. I throw up at least once a day. When will this stop???
Madam Reverie 2,958 Posted April 1, 2014 You shouldn't be throwing up What are you eating? Have you spoken to your surgeon yet? If not, you should do. Throwing up so early and so regularly, can only be doing you harm. If you're trying to push the envelope on what you're eating - I suggest you stop, go back to clear fluids/protein drinks for a while. In the meantime, contact your hospital/surgeons office. 3 rbtnln, PdxMan and Recycled reacted to this
gomekast 559 Posted April 1, 2014 Listen to Madam, she is right. It shouldn't be happening at that far out. I had a double stricture post op that lasted my first 3.5 months, and I didn't even throw up that much. I had a different eating plan to accommodate my issue. Call your nurse and leave a msg. If you're missing your full que, learn yours fast. Runny nose, hiccup, etc are many reported by other members. That said...I couldn't eat meats until after my issue resolved itself. Now I am fine, but still listen for my single hiccup full alarm. Best of luck to you. Hope you feel better soon. 2 Recycled and rbtnln reacted to this
gigiharley 0 Posted April 1, 2014 I have talked to my dr about this. He said stop eating what is making me throw up but try again in a few days. Also said my post nasal drip may be causing the issue. I just am now scared to eat.

lovely momma 28 Posted April 7, 2014 A narrowing of the stomach. They go in and try to stretch it with a bougie during an Endoscopy. If that doesn't work they revise it to a RNY
