dlfjr1 2 Posted April 1, 2014 I had my surgery in June of 2013. I have lost a total of 102 pounds. I started at 330 and am now at 228. For the past month I have been stuck at between 230 and 228. I am currently at 1300 calories. My doctor told me to go up to 1500 calories. I did that for about 2 weeks and it seems like that was the culprit. I recently put my calories back at 1300. It still does not seem to work. My weight is staying about the same. I still want to lose about 28 pounds to get down to 200 pounds. What should i do different? Any help would be appreciated. dlfjr1 2 Posted April 1, 2014 I also walked on the treadmill for about two miles a day.
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted April 1, 2014 Since keeping your calories the same doesn't work, and bumping your calories up doesn't work, I would try lowering your calories. Maybe go down to 1100 or 1050 and see if that helps. You might also want to check out the Veterans' forum here and look for the thread on 5:2 intermittent fasting -- looks like a lot of people do well with that. Good luck! 1 MetroDetroitChic reacted to this
O-Town Body Rock 148 Posted April 1, 2014 Maybe you could try the "Pouch Test" that the bypass patients do. I heard of sleeves trying it when they reached a stall and it working. I don't know too much about it so try Googling it. Just an idea.
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted April 1, 2014 I would keep on with eating healthy and wait it out. I went 5 weeks recently with no weight loss, then lost 5 lbs, and now not losing again. I am ignoring it. This too shall pass. 1 DeniseNCC1701 reacted to this
AllisonKara 46 Posted April 1, 2014 Cardiovascular exercises can help a lot. Slow walking, jogging, running, cycling, etc. might be useful. I hope it helps you.
