TerriDoodle 6 Posted April 5, 2007 I was referred to BE.com and like the way that business operates! I need to place an order but would like your recommendations, too. What products do you like....especially the drinks (cause I'm going into full liquids now). thanks!
demsvmejm 5 Posted April 5, 2007 Teri I ordered the "sample pack" it was around $25 and came with a shaker cup. I think, 15 different samples. I hated the Roadside Lemonade and the peach icedtea....some ppl love it. I really liked the berry smoothie mix, and the cantalope melon mix and the belgium chocolate. I didn't order anything in bulk, I wasn't in love with anything that much to commit to 2 lbs. of the stuff. Once I'm on solids I might order some of the meals and check them out. My personal favorite is Muscle Milk Light (GNC) it doesn't have the whey Protein isolate, like my nutritionist says I should be using, but it still has 25 gms protein in 2 scoops w/ 10 oz of milk. Love the banana cream and vanilla cream. Also love the Isopure pre-bottled Water with whey protein isolate in grape flavor (20 oz. bottle w/ 40 gms protein!!) The best i've found yet, in my opinion. kinda pricie..$3.99 per bottle they (GNC) just had a sale buy 1/get 50% off another. I just noticed you were banded....Congratulations! Daisalana 33 Posted April 5, 2007 I made my first order from BE. I got some things I heard people mention here, when they come in I'll let you know. They seem to run slow on shipping, so I'm glad I ordered this far in advance. I didn't see the sample pack, I may have liked that better. I did get-the main reason for going there- those test tubes of shots of flavored Protein. So far I have not found a single protein food/drink/mix that I could tolerate.. I really hate the tastes (I went to a Vitamin shop today and had a sample of something the lady working told me I'd like.. I didn't.. and then some chocolate chip proten bar, blech.).. So I thought if I can't find a powder I'll be happy with, I'll get those little shots, and I can do one swig shots.
GayleTX 1 Posted April 5, 2007 I use quite a few of the product BE carries. My favorite everyday drink is nectar Capacino mixed in my morning coffee. I also like the Belgian Choc. mixed in coffee.< /p> The Whey Gourmet powders are wonderful....I'm partial to the Peanut Butter chocolate myself. If you like fruits, you might like the Fuzzy Navel mixed with SF Lemonade...wonderful sometime drink to sip on. The Matrix Orange Cream is a nice light, not to tart not to sweet, flavor....I mix mine (and most of the other cream flavors) with Water and ice and run them thru the blender. There are lots of good recipes for using the powders on the BE site... http://store.bariatriceating.com/deblprsh.html
juliegeraci 7 Posted April 5, 2007 Thanks for the suggestion of the nectar Capuccino, I just ordered it. I can use as much Protein as possible. Thanks again. Julie
TerriDoodle 6 Posted April 5, 2007 Thanks, ya'll....that's great to get me started! That Whey Gourmet PB chocolate sounds delish!! WASabubblebutt - you can make your own cheese crackers that probably taste better and a lot cheaper! Put a piece of parchment paper over a cookie sheet. Use whatever semi-hard cheese you like and cut into 1/2" cubes. Place them on the cookie sheet about 2" apart then put them in the oven until melted and bubbly. Drain off grease (there will be a lot) and let cool (and harden). Voila! Crackers!

OK - Y'all are going to think I own stock or something - but I love my homemade protein Water - and I make it with those little liquid Protein shots. 1 tube "New Whey 42 gram" by IDS - Orange flavor 1 bottle Propel w/calcium Mix in 1 liter bottle. Add filtered tap Water to fill bottle. shake. I drink this stuff every day while I am at work. you can get the New Whey at http://www.dpsnutrition.net/get_by_79.htm I really DON'T own stock or have any connection to either IDS or DPS nutrition... I just think that the 42 gram Protein Shots are the coolest thing since sliced bread.< /p> :]
TracyinKS 7 Posted April 5, 2007 I'm currently waiting on some Isopure Protein Water (Variety Pack) that I ordered from GNC on the BOGO offer. It is 40 grams of protein and considered a clear liquid.< /p>

They also have Fuze fitness water for 69 cents a bottle.

I get mine at Sams - by the flat it comes out to even less than that, I think. :] The ones with calcium come in different flavors - berry, orange and tropical? I can't remember the third flavor - but it is good. :]
