enjoyinglife 313 Posted March 31, 2014 Try super sets, compound sets, pyramid sets, high intensity interval training, and limiting your rest between sets to 45 seconds. Check out: www.bodybuilding.com for some awesome info. Best Wishes!!
HealthyNewMe 1,935 Posted April 1, 2014 I do all my cardio on the elliptical. I just upped my calorie burn by 110+ calories (on the same length of time) by increasing the elliptical's resistance from level 4 to Level 10. It's kicking my butt, but it's worth the huffin and puffin for the extra calorie burn! 1 Danni-doinit4me reacted to this
slvrsax 301 Posted April 1, 2014 It takes a bit to learn routines (six classes for me), but Zumba has a great cardio burn and is a lot of fun!

RebeccaRN 27 Posted April 4, 2014 They also have a Zumba sentao class which is chair Zumba (you can look for a class near you on the Zumba site). I am 58 and still weigh quite a bit (224 lb) and have bad knees but I take regular Zumba classes. I have found that you can modify some of the moves (like minimize any of the jumping type moves) and work out at a lower intensity (especially in the beginning). It is very fun and I highly recommend it.
millergirl314 168 Posted April 13, 2014 Does anybody do kettle bell work? Any suggestions for good at home program for my non gym days?
wcn1970 239 Posted April 13, 2014 Google kettlebell workouts, ton on there. Remember; you don't have to workout for long periods or time, you can up the resistance and work out less. 1 Fiddleman reacted to this
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted April 14, 2014 If you do not have access to weights or do not like lifting weights, you may enjoy body weight exercises. There is a nice program called "you are your own gym" that is a really good challenge and each workout is only 20-25 minutes. Not long at all. There are moves like plyo push-ups (like a regular push up, but you push up hard enough to get air and clap)., star jumpers (start in squat and push yourself up into a star position, jumping off the ground as high as you can) and dive bombers. The trainer is enjoyable and does not get boring or annoying. 3 days a week and you will be trained like a special ops. You will get a great workout. I did this program last year and rather enjoyed it. The program is 90 days and has 3 different phases, progressing from beginner to advanced.
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted April 14, 2014 Does anybody do kettle bell work? Any suggestions for good at home program for my non gym days? The bob harper inside out method kettle bell workout DVD is pretty good (not related to biggest loser). It is not perfect, but still helpful as a solid routine. It is one DVD in the inside out method. I enjoy these workouts because they are actually pretty challenging, especially the bobs workout and the pure strength DVDs.
