Karen Kristin 0 Posted March 31, 2014 I am wondering after surgery do your taste buds change and your sense of snell ? I am a chef and am wondering how this is going to impact my cooking skills , especially when it comes to cooking with spices , chili , garlic etc... I Expect it will take a few months to get back into being able to deal with all of this
teachingkids2004 22 Posted April 15, 2014 I've no solid answer for you, sorry! I'm only one week out and I have become very sensitive to smells! Disgusting Fish, delicious foods, bad breath, hubby's farts, etc. I dry heaved when hubs cooked fish yesterday. I'd liken it to when I was pregnant.
TheNewSusie 471 Posted April 15, 2014 I'm a chef and have had no problems with smells or tastes, I just need less salt than I used to and couldn't do spicy after the beginning. I'm 21 months out now and just can't have too much sugar or fruit or I will dump and be in pain, so I stay away.
