I am doing really well. My incisions are healing nicely, I'm slowly starting to feel like my old self. I'm not hungry at all so I have to force myself to drink. My diet goes from full to puréed today. I just pray I tolerate it. I hate nausea. I have 4 kids and my youngest is 11 so they are pretty independent. They along with my hubby are extremely supportive. I still have 3 weeks off of work and plan to increase my walking today. Keep up the great work! You will be picking up your baby before you know it! 1 Sarah B Tora reacted to this
NICU-RN 31 Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) Welcome. I had my surgery in January of this year. I am enjoying watching the scale go DOWN for a change! Your weight loss is phenomenal! Snuggle your little one at your side while sitting and soon you'll be carrying her again. Understand that is hard though. I'm glad your husband is supportive. Mine says he is, but his actions make me doubt it - he keeps trying to feed me everything I am not supposed to have nor do I even want that stuff anymore. Recovery has been easy except I have had constant nausea and am just this week starting to eat more than my Protein shakes and only now because last week I had an EGD done to discover the cause of my nausea - a severely irritated stomach from the protein! On an earlier diet a few years ago, I developed 3 ulcers due to Protein intake. This could make my journey interesting. Anyway, I am now on Carafate and the nausea is a bit less.
