Bigpetit 0 Posted November 23, 2007 did you long time lap banders really lose 2 pounds a week? I have a huge family event next July and I'm thinking what a surprise for all my family it would be if I really lost that much weight. It's very exciting to even fantasize about it. How much total do you have to lose? The reason I ask is that the bigger you are the faster you lose in the beginning. I lost like crazy in the beginning then it slowed down. I lost 103 pounds in 10 months, I've lost a few more since then but I'm at goal and happy. Watch what you eat, exercise like it's a religion and you'll do great! Also, make sure you can get follow up care in the states. Make sure you have a fill doc lined up. If you don't have anyone you'll have to go back to Mexico for fills and depending on what state you live in that can get expensive. I'm lucky, for me my Mexican doc is driving distance.
