honeyg317 107 Posted March 30, 2014 I'm 10 days post-op. Can I walk on the treadmill now? Or am I being ambitious?
1Day1Life4Now 882 Posted March 30, 2014 What did your surgeon tell you? Mine said as soon as I got home I could walk outside or on the treadmill. The only limitation was no lifting over 10 pounds, no running, and no machines for 6 weeks. I feel like the treadmill and the stationary bike have really aided in my weight loss. honeyg317 107 Posted March 30, 2014 I never asked and she said no lifting. So I think I will go for it. I may just call the nurse tomorrow.
magtart 603 Posted March 30, 2014 The treadmill is fine as long as you don't over do it. I just made a desk/shelf for my treadmill to hold my laptop. I will be able to work. surf, and watch TV while walking..
McButterpants 2,846 Posted March 31, 2014 I wasn't cleared for walking on the treadmill until 4 weeks. I was cleared for walking, but not on the treadmill. You should check with your doctor before starting on the treadmill.
honeyg317 107 Posted March 31, 2014 Yeah, my hubby and kids chimed in so I will be walking the track only until further notice! I tell you, since I had this surgery my 4 kids are involved in every move I make. It's kinda cute in an annoying sort of way. 1 McButterpants reacted to this
Debi Amador 120 Posted April 1, 2014 My surgeon said the treadmill is OK as long as I don't go fast.
