hisandhersleeves 19 Posted March 30, 2014 So my husband and I had our sleeve surgery March 14th and were both excited to be losing about 2 pounds a day with our 10 day pre-op liquid diet and 7 day post-op liquid diet. Since adding more food in our diet we both have stopped losing weight. We are both eating a lot less than our usual diet so we're not sure where we are going wrong. I am fortunate (or not) to have very little discomfort when eating and probably advanced my diet too quickly, could this be a possible cause to my stall? Anyone else experiencing a stall in weight loss so soon?
1Day1Life4Now 882 Posted March 30, 2014 You are still retaining Fluid and your stomach and abdominal area are still swollen and inflamed. It takes a couple of weeks for your body to recover from the shock of surgery. Give it a few days and you will most like see a dramatic drop of 9 or 10 pounds. You are going to lose the weight, just be patient and drink your fluids and eat according to plan your surgeon gave you. Everyone's body is different and will lose at a different rate. Not everyone is a fast loser. 2 Mscondalezza and hisandhersleeves reacted to this
Tiny One 223 Posted March 30, 2014 It's still early. You still have the swelling & all that gas & junk that was pumped in you for the surgery. Don't rush yourselves. Follow the rules & you'll be pleasantly surprised. Good luck to you 2. 1 hisandhersleeves reacted to this

hisandhersleeves 19 Posted March 31, 2014 Yeah, I really thought the weight would fall off in the beginning...I fully expected a stall but not so soon. I also was expecting to have more difficulty eating which would have aided in more weight loss but also, not the case...ugh!
