TBodmer71 245 Posted March 30, 2014 Hello everyone. I am 7 months post-op. I have gone from 289lbs down to 190lbs (woohoo! 99lbs gone for good). I understand that we can't do much for excess skin, but I always figured I could hid it with clothes. My problem is where my extra chin use to be is now very loose. It looks like a turky gobbler neck. It is driving me nuts. It is way too early for me to consider pastics. Does anyone have any suggestions or remedies (short term or long term). I've been using neck firming cream but other than that I have no clue what to try. BTW.......Turtle neck shirts make it look worse.
MichiganChic 3,262 Posted March 30, 2014 I also have this issue. I hate it, too. At 15 months out, I think it is better than it was at 7 months. It's surprising to me that my skin seems to be catching up - a little. I've gotten wraps, use firming cream, but I think it will never be firm unless I have plastics on it. I'm 51, so I'm sure that contributes to it. I've also heard of "face lift facials" but not sure how well that would work either. The aesthetician did show me how to work the muscles of my neck....I figure it's worth a try! If it get's a little bit better, I think it might be tolerable. Now my arms....that's another story! Dawn Del Rio 3 Posted March 30, 2014 I've been reading a lot about this problem--also looking for a solution. I found out that the best solution is laser therapy. How many treatments you need depends on how much droopy skin you have. I'm planning on talking to a dermatologist who specializes in laser therapy. Good luck and congrats on your weightloss success! nesa83 89 Posted March 31, 2014 Tilt your neck/head back open your mouth slowly and close it slowly you could feel the workout on your neck do 5 reps of 10 like 3 times a day. I'm 30yrs old my insanity trainer told me to do that. I could feel it.
