srs531 8 Posted March 30, 2014 I'm not having problems with tummy pain but I keep getting hiccups and they are really painful in my chest! Anyone else having these problems? I'm being extra conscious about swallowing air with sips but it happens almost every time (currently while typing this)
rjnkajun 9 Posted March 30, 2014 Seems every sip I make I get air. Hiccups stopped on day 3 for me but I feel I can't sip anything without catching air
srs531 8 Posted March 30, 2014 I'm having such a hard time with it. That and back and chest pain from air bubbles I think. It'll get better within days tho, at least that's what I'm told.
srs531 8 Posted March 30, 2014 How long ago was your surgery?
jluv 3 Posted March 30, 2014 I had the hiccups too and I felt it in my ribcage. Felt as if a sharp object was pressing against my ribcage. The hiccups were annoying but what immediatley remedied it was walking. Walk, walk walk, even if it's just around the house. Walk as much as you can. Good luck
srs531 8 Posted March 30, 2014 Walking is what I do when they start! Only thing that seems to help!
joatsaint 2,814 Posted March 30, 2014 I got a sever case of the hiccups the day after surgery. I think it stretched my stomach sutures, cause it hurt like Hell for a few days afterwards. Fortunately that was the only time it happened.
