carriebeth 4 Posted March 29, 2014 I was sleeved on the 19th and, including pre-op, I'm down 12 pounds. I started soft yesterday and gained back a pound. That's totally normal, right?
1Day1Life4Now 882 Posted March 29, 2014 Get off of those scales. Weighing everyday will drive you nuts and cause you stress. Your weight can and will fluctuate every day. Weigh once a week and don't stress over it. Our bodies are not a solid blob with a stationary weight, we are made up of a mixture of fluids, tissues, cells and other things that are constantly moving and regenerating. We hold fluid...we release Fluid. That's just part of being a human. You will lose weight as long as you follow the plan so focus on eating and drinking correctly and enjoy the weight loss, don't make it a daily stressful event. You will gain a pound or two from time to time and it is perfectly normal so don't worry about it. Try to enjoy the release from food addiction. 1 jallsop reacted to this
newlysleeved 4 Posted March 29, 2014 It's probably not a "true" pound. A lot can contribute. Like did you weight your self with different clothes on? Did you way in the morning vs. at night? Are you going to the bathroom that can cause some increased weight. I think to go up and down just a little is normal. I wouldn't worry. You going great. CrazyJaney 775 Posted March 29, 2014 I'm up half a pound after a few days on puréed. But I'm so dang constipated. I don't think a gain is necessarily reflective of reality. You've got fluctuations to Fluid shifts, you've got changes to metabolic rate, you've shocked your system. I'm going with all that because it's feeling good to see and feel the weight loss. I'm not feeling either with a bloated belly. Wish I had never backed off on my Miralax. I have some work to do to fix "this".
