Thinking about wrinkles

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any good facial regiments that make you feel young?

I know wrinkles seems like a weird thing to be thinking about 2 1/2 weeks pre-op, but here I sit. I know most of us are going to have excess skin. I guess I look at that issue differently than wrinkles. My fat face already has squint and forehead lines. What's going to happen when it thins out? I need to find some kind of daily routine and products to help me not look older after WLS!!! We see the commercials all the time but all know those famous beautiful people are being paid. I need something for a real person who doesn't have a dermatologist or endless money.

I have the perfect solution for you. I had heard about this product on Dr Oz. Now please know that I could start my own beauty supply of used $$$$ products. But then I learned about a product from Target called Boots No7. I use the Protect & Perfect Protection & Perfection intense serum, the day and night cream and the cleanser. Their prices are awesome, the serum was on sale online for under $20.00. I don't live near a Target so I went online. If you get a CC of Targets you get free shipping and 5% off, if not, pay the shipping, it's worth it. Love this product. My skin has never been so happy....

I personally use Time Wise products from Mary Kay. It makes my skin so smooth, soft, & clear. It has a 3 in 1 cleanser/exfoliant and a moisturizer. It works wonders!

I too use the Time Wise line. It works and is easy to use. A Mary Kay rep. will give you a free facial and samples of their product to try.

All of y'all look like you have great skin. I need to start a regimen. I'll do something a few times and then I don't take time for it. I need to start doing ME.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
