awvg22 5 Posted March 28, 2014 Hi Everyone, I'm Vanessa and I am 24 years old and a year ago on April 15th, 2023 I had gastric bypass. This was a very big decision I made for myself. I started my journey weighing in at 270lbs. Today I am 164lbs. I have lost 106lbs. I am very pleased and excited about this. I havent weighed this much since middle school. Now that my one year is coming up I am scared about staying on this path. I've been noticing that I am able to eat more and some foods I shouldn't be eating. I am young and have plans for myself and my husband to start a family soon but scared about the weight I will gain and how it will affect me in the long run with the weight. I guess I will worry about that when that comes. I am loving my new body, clothes, and confidence I have gained through out this journey. I hope everyone else is doing remarkable! Just wanted to share a little bit about myself. Hope to meet and make some new friends! Meintraining 104 Posted March 28, 2014 You look amazing. I'm sure that is a common fear. I'm just a couple months post op and I'm already fearing weight gain. Maybe a before and after photo on the fridge might help. I'm not sure. Welcome.
