BariatricMan 14 Posted March 27, 2014 Any recommendations for bariatric cookbooks (at least till Amy T. has hers published!)? I'm a gastric bypass alum, but I'm sure anything would be helpful. I have the Idiot's Guide and I'm just looking for more. Especially interested in bread substitutes just for sandwiches and toast someday! Thanks for any help! 2muchfun 8,927 Posted March 28, 2014 Let me know when you find a bread substitute? I've been on and off Atkins for about 30 years now and there is none. We banders can eat a little bread. I choose to eat Oroweat thin breads with about 100 calories. But, most breads don't get along with our bands so, I may buy 2 loafs of bread a year. Quite a few people discuss Pinterest on our forum. http://www.pinterest.com/trentz/gastric-bypass-friendly-products-sites-recipes/
FitnFabfor2014 358 Posted March 28, 2014 I have "Eating well After weightloss Surgery". There are some pretty decent recipes. I however, was not impressed with the tofu cheesecake . 2 pquinn181 and beckyloo4 reacted to this
beckyloo4 40 Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) I have found "Eating well after weight loss surgery" to be pretty good. Weight loss surgery for dummies actually isn't too bad either lol. I also follow a couple blogs like, The World According to Eggface, Emily Bites and Bariatric Foodie. Hope that helps Edited March 28, 2014 by beckyloo4
