Upper stomach pain

Hi all...

I'm scared to have surgery now because of stomach pain. It's kind of intermittent and it feels as If my stomach is being twisted in there right under my left rib. I had an EDG done in Jan 2014 and Doctor said all I have is acute gastritis. Does anyone here suffers from this and does it feel like a muscle is being twisted?

Also I noticed I started getting this pain back in Nov 2013 when I went thru a period of high stress...

Any inputs? Thanks in advance!!

Ohhh yeah. I've had gastritis for awhile and it does feel like your stomach is twisting. I still have reflux but the gastritis has not bothered me since surgery. Foods you eat bother the gastritis so since we eating selective foods... the gastritis is calmed down. Don't let this issue be the one that keeps you from having surgery. Its really a non-issue in the over all scheme of things.
