Carlotta1 401 Posted March 26, 2014 Ok..don't beat up yourself.. The next time u eat today..just go back to eating your healthy meal. One twix will not sabatage your weight loss unless u continue to eat that way. Most of all have the all or nothing attitude with food. Either we are perfect..and if we slip a little..then we think we have failed which brings us to binging the rest of the day, or the rest of the week...the vicious cycle continues. It is how we deal with eating something off the program. As far as stress and anxiety are concerned. Be aware what is taking you there..you may be over tired..physically hungry ..etc étc. If a specific situation triggers stress and anxiety..try to calm yourself and say to yourself this too shall pass. I see a psychologist (preop and post op )for my binge eating so that I can have tools to handle deal with stress/anxiety. 3 sweetjam69, wynblade and ziggypbang reacted to this
Camella 209 Posted March 29, 2014 Oh I feel your pain. Most of my eating is driven by stress and anxiety and being sleeved has certainly not changed that. Don't worry about the twix, worry when you having them daily, which unfortunately I have been doing lately. I am learning the hard way that I need to completely change my relationship with food and develop new tools to deal with stress. But don't beat yourself up, this is a journey with ups and downs, as long as you learn and keep putting one foot in front of the other. 3 jack35, sweetjam69 and ziggypbang reacted to this

healthbound1 69 Posted April 1, 2014 Thank you for your post. When I eat things I'm "not supposed to" I find myself avoiding this forum or people who know I had the surgery and I start to isolate. This is not the best choice because then I berate myself and am not accountable to anyone so it becomes easier to make more unhealthy choices. Your post reminded me that we are all human, will all make "mistakes" and are all here to support each other when we need it . Hope today was a better day.
