Loveskinnyme 41 Posted May 22, 2014 It's a doctor prescribed shake. I had a written prescription to have filled at the pharmacy. It's made by Nestle. I'm only allowed to drink the four shakes each day. That and as much Water as I want. Talk about boring. It's complete nutrition in a shake. I'm supposed to lose 30-40 pounds in three weeks while I'm on it. And it cost me $300 for three weeks worth. Not cheap.

Loveskinnyme 41 Posted May 22, 2014 I don't have benefits/private insurance, so I had to pay out of pocket. But I can claim it on next years income tax return, so that'll help a bit.

Ginger Snaps 1,323 Posted May 22, 2014 @annymarie Go check out their website. You'll find all kinds of instructions and ideas for how to use their Protein powders.< /p> Based on my experience, if you get it too hot, it will clump up and not dissolve properly. It doesn't hurt the protein, just makes it clumpy. Ginger 1 amc2014 reacted to this

Loveskinnyme 41 Posted May 22, 2014 I have to buy a package from the doctor's office that costs $250. It is 4 containers of Celebrate, Bariatric Advantage, or Unjury shakes and all the necessary Vitamins and Calcium supplements to get you started. We also have to get the vitamins and supplements we will need to take immediately after surgery, and they have to be chewable or liquid form. That cost over $150.00. And I had to switch up some of my regular prescriptions to ones that could either be crushed or in liquid form. And liquid form of my antidepressants was $140.00 vs $20.00. It's been an expensive month with those and all the vitamins and Optifast shakes. But I suppose since I won't be eating regular food, I'll save a bit of money, lol. Also, things are more expensive to buy here in Canada vs the USA.
