tyt221b 63 Posted March 24, 2014 It's 11 days since my surgery, and my blood pressure has been running fine without any medication. I went to see my family doctor today to see what he wanted to do about my meds. He told me that I didn't need them anymore! He said to keep checking it regularly at home, but he didn't think I'd need them anymore. I've been on bp meds for over 5 years, so it's great not to have to worry about that anymore! 1 pquinn181 reacted to this

SugarFreeMe 293 Posted March 25, 2014 That's awesome. Since my surgery on the 18th I've been able to quit with my high cholesterol and diabetes meds. My blood sugar numbers are better now then they were with meds. It's amazing. Glad to hear about the blood pressure. That's the last med I need to be able to quit. Congratulations!!! iamsoworthit 430 Posted March 26, 2014 It took me a lot longer but I came off of my bp meds in february. My surgery was last june so don't give up. I was taking 100mg metoprylol and 25 mg of clorothalidone(sp??). He kept dropping the metoprylol and now I am officially off of them all. I take medicine for gout and that's it, it's wonderful!!!
