Day 12 of preop liquid diet

Today is day 12 of my preop liquid diet, and it's actually been a lot easier than I thought it would be. Tonight, I tried to eat some creamy Soup (made with skim milk), but found that I couldn't eat it all. My stomach felt extremely full. Is this normal? Does your stomach shrink significantly during preop?

I found the longer I was on preop liquids, this was the case for me. My hunger became less and less.

I was the same way. Glad to hear you're doing the diet. I am 12 day post op, and the people that had surgery the same day I did that didn't follow the diet had a much harder time with their surgery. Just keep following that diet and you'll be a great surgery patient with no problems. Good Luck!

I agrree ive done the pre op diet 3 times for a week to get my 10 lbs off i needed to... I found after i was fuller sooner as well . I even thought ... Wow do i even need the surgery ... My mind trying to take over ... Im listening to the professionals now ... Lol my mind got me to this weight ...
