webhopper 57 Posted April 25, 2014 Jello made me nauseated in the hospital so I have been avoiding it like the plague!
Nicey2u 228 Posted April 26, 2014 I just got released from the hospital today. My doc sent me home with little one ounce cups and wants me to drink one every 15 min and sent me home with a counter so I can count how much I have had. It's going pretty good so far and sugar free Popsicles are awesome!!

It's going pretty good so far and sugar free Popsicles are awesome!! The SF Popsicles have a nasty aftertaste to me, SF Jello too, but tea, juice, broth, and Gatorade are great! I used to be a Splenda girl, but not anymore I guess. I haven't had any hunger but I've been SO thirsty so that helps me to remember to keep sipping. Good luck to you! dsmith_rn 186 Posted April 28, 2014 Ooohhhh I forgot I can have broth!! Gonna order some wonton Soup without the wanton tomorrow!! Haha thanks and good luck to you as well!!! I had my daughter go get some tonight. It's the best tasting thing I've had since surgery. I had her pour me 8 oz and refrigerate the rest. About halfway through I got a wave of nausea that lasted a few minutes so I'm afraid to drink more even though it tastes so good. Ugh, I still have 3 more days of Clear Liquids to go! Scylla 106 Posted April 28, 2014 Hi everybody! I was sleeved on 4/23. Everything was "a piece of cake" according to my surgeon--no surprises, other than the fact that I had a HUGE gall stone that was about half the size of a golf ball! (they took my gall bladder out, too). I was prepared, but I didn't have any of the shoulder pain and only had a little bit of nausea my 2nd day in the hospital, but anti-nausea meds took care of that. Still have abdominal pain, but it is definitely getting less and less. Only had to take one Norco this morning. I am on full liquids now (3rd day - 14th day post op) It is nice to have some soupy oatmeal or cream of wheat for Breakfast. It felt like such a treat! My kids were shocked that basically 2 tablespoons made me totally full. LOL Doing my best to make sure I am drinking a lot of Water and also drinking Water mixed with Syntrax nectar Roadside Lemonade Protein powder. Kinda reminds me of Crystal Lite and has the benefits of Protein. I hope all of my 4/23 sleeve-versary friends are doing well!
