jerseygrl09 17 Posted April 15, 2014 I'm beginning to think I need to quit reading some of these posts. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today. I've only lost 7 lbs since surgery, the rest was pre-op. I had trouble with liquids and just this week tried yogurt and cottage cheese. I have to say, I am really glad you all are losing weight but it depresses the hell out of me. @mrs.Whatsit I totally feel the same way this week. Don't give up I hear it does get better I keep telling myself that. good luck we are all on this together i has to and will get better 1 Mrs. Whatsit reacted to this
Amanda121279 17 Posted April 15, 2014 Yesterday, I got my first compliment. I was a frequent customer at Dunkin Donuts. I went in to get a cup of Decaf tea, and the cashier, who knows me well, said, "Wow! You look great! Every time I see you, you are getting thinner!" EPIC SUCCESS! 3 PoohbearJohnson, Mrs. Whatsit and Chanlissa reacted to this
jerseygrl09 17 Posted April 15, 2014 @@Chanlissa lol luv it he was wonderful dr sadek I loved him!! These liquid vitamins suck every morning it hard to get down but I am trying. Haven't tried chewable but after this pack I might to see if it cheaper too. How are you doing since surgery?I had Dr. Sadek too! I've been putting the Vitamins in my water bottle that I mix with nectar (Fuzzy Navel flavor) Protein and sip it all day long...it tastes like fruit punch and since you're drinking it out of a bottle you can't smell the nasty protein/vitamin stench that makes me gag...also since you're sipping it all day long, the vitamins aren't as hard on your stomach...just something to think about! @@hisandhersleeves he was awesome. I know every morning it sucks getting them down hate the vitamins with a passion lol. true it takes me two hours to get the vitamins down terrible! how are you doing on your journey so far? KajunGumbo 74 Posted April 15, 2014 I'm 6 wks out now & absolutely thrilled with my progress. Absolutely no food issues & now on full diet. I walk a 5k each day and do gym 3x a day. I feel it's time for me to move on with my life now. Good luck to all the March Sleevers! I only have time for my blog postings but I will check in here every 3 or 4 months if I have time. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL ON YOUR JOURNEYS! Dee http://deekajungumbo.blogspot.com/
nikkib24 3 Posted April 15, 2014 Had my sleeve on 3-3-14, I'm post op day 20 and last wk I was re-hospitalize for dehydration. I've had it rough. I sleep a lot therefore I'm not eating like I should. It's hard. I'm still at the point where I regret it, but hoping it gets better. I go back to wrk in 3 wks so I'm hoping I get the hang of this in the next wk or so. Down 26 lbs since surgery, but not enjoying the weight loss bc I'm always sick. Please keep me posted on you guys progress hi I'm always sick too and always feeling dizzy and like I'm going to faint. How did u know u needed to go to the hospital. 1 sagreen07 reacted to this

nikkib24 3 Posted April 15, 2014
Well I just got home yesterday from having surgery and I am in the clear liquid stage, I have been eating broth, sugarfree poweraide, popsicles, and wanting pizza...haha. Any way I feel good I can advance to the creamy stage on Saturday.
hi Molly what day was your surgery. Mine was April 2nd and I have been feeling very weak. nikkib24 3 Posted April 15, 2014 Hi all, my surgery is on Tuesday 3/25. How are all the other March sleevers doing? I was sleeved 3/5. I havent had any regrets except for the panic attack i had when i awoke in the recovery room. This is by far the most difficult thing ive ever done ( gawd i miss food!) but it also the most important and worthwhile so im finding it easy to 'woman up'. It will get easier lol. I had a panic attack too. Lol it wasn't funny then but it sure as heck is funny now.
loosinginSD 11 Posted April 15, 2014 Hi all! I am close to 2 months post-op! I understand what you all are feeling. Remember these 4 words: This Too Shall Pass! The discomfort and pain is only temporary. When it gets tough remind yourself of where you have been and where you are headed! You will do great! Congrats on your brave decision to have surgery! God bless! 1 Mrs. Whatsit reacted to this

Well I have lost 25 pounds including the pre-op diet...I really thought the weight would be coming off quicker than it is...15 pounds in 4 weeks shouldn't be something to complain about...I know I couldn't have done it without the surgery for sure...but I feel like I'm eating a fraction of my previous diet and yet the pounds stay on! On a brighter note, I don't have any pain, I can tolerate most foods that I want to eat, and generally I feel satisfied with the food that I am eating...trying the whole positive thinking thing...LOL! Did anyone tell you a calorie amount to eat daily? I have no idea if I'm eating too much, or not enough. I see Dr. Sadek on Tuesday so maybe I can ask then. At 6 weeks out I'm supposed to be at like 600 calories. It's bittersweet that I don't tolerate the foods that I used to enjoy. Even milk (which I used to LOVE and drink a ton of) tastes gross to me. But I would rather it be like this, than have everything still tasting delicious because I know I have terrible self control! I usually have half a packet of weight watchers oatmeal for Breakfast, cheese stick for 10:30 snack, yogurt for lunch, I sip on clear Protein Drink all day (200 calories, but it gives me 48 grams of protein), and dinner is harder... I've had a few pieces of rotisserie chicken, sometimes fish, but it's rarely more than a few bites of anything.
