nancyginnm 5 Posted March 22, 2014 Just wondering if anyone's health insurance paid for any reconstructive surgery? I'm going to need a total lift. I know my insurance won't pay, but I'm wondering if they may pay for a breast reduction.
vogue 310 Posted March 22, 2014 Just wondering if anyone's health insurance paid for any reconstructive surgery? I'm going to need a total lift. I know my insurance won't pay, but I'm wondering if they may pay for a breast reduction. Depends on your policy and if they deem if medically necessary. You can't go just by insurance carrier because each individual policy is different based on the group coverage contract or private insurance inclusions Mine paid for panniculectomy. Would pay for more if meet STRICT guidelines. Some (very few) get full body lifts or even partial(lower) body lifts paid for by insurance but most don't. That's why many opt to go out of the country where self pay prices are more affordable 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
1Day1Life4Now 882 Posted March 23, 2014 Nancy, I have BCBS of MS and prior to WLS I had a breast reduction. My breasts were causing me back pain and my bra straps were digging into my shoulders. I went to a surgeon who wrote up the proposal and the insurance company paid for it all. Luckily, with a breast reduction, they give you a breast lift as well. Now I'm hoping the weight loss will make the rest of me as good as the breasts. if you go to a plastic surgeon they can write up the proposal that most insurance companies will approve. Good luck to you.
Ms24 8 Posted March 23, 2014 I finally found a Dr. I'm comfortable with and trust! But the stress of the payment is spiraling me into a deep depression. It's weird I need my inner thighs, vagina, stomach ,arms & maybe my neck ;it makes me look tired so I'm considering that but I'm scared shitless to touch my face. i'm praying to God that insurance pays for half of that release for my stomach which is the most expensive 16, because I have to stay in the hospital. I don't need any of my back done: no love handles just everything I've described. I'm so depressed I lost so many of my friends. It was about health now I'm getting carried away with the vanity. I'm tired all the time anyway but it would be nice not to look it. I feel like I can't tell anybody the truth about anything anymore. Does anybody else feel this way? Or have any suggestions I'm willing to try anything.
Ms24 8 Posted July 4, 2014 Can anyone recommend books that prep you for a Tummy Tuck and other extras skin removal surgery?
