razzswt39 5 Posted March 22, 2014 Hi, does anyone have any good Breakfast ideas? I usually have a Protein Shake or eggs. I am trying to avoid most carbs so oatmeal, Cereal etc are out. 1 Leepers reacted to this
Sassy Pants1 186 Posted March 22, 2014 You could experiment with some scrambles. Add some 2% cheese, turkey sausage crumbles, spinach, peppers, etc. I'm not very creative so I struggle with breakfast too.
DeniseNCC1701 306 Posted March 22, 2014 No reason you can't have dinner for breakfast! I've had tuna fish salad, pureed Soups, miso-egg-drop Soup. Maybe Beans? tofu smoothies? chicken salad?
Leepers 1,195 Posted March 22, 2014 Egg Muffins: Spray 6 muffin tins Beat/whisk 6 eggs Pour evenly between 6 tins Divide 1/4 cup of precooked turkey sausage crumbles or diced ham into tins Divide 1/4 cup Fat free cheddar Divide 1/4 cup shredded parmesan Add anything that sounds good. We do mushrooms, olives. You can do diced tomatoes, spinach, etc. Cook on 350 until Muffins puff up and tops get light brown. Take out and let sit for a bit. I like to make a double batch and put them in the fridge. Take out in the morning and microwave for about 40 seconds. Put a few dabs of hot sauce and you have easy breakfast in the morning! They come to around 100 calories each. Maybe a little more depending on what you add. 3 KristinaRnY, pquinn181 and Carol P reacted to this
razzswt39 5 Posted March 22, 2014 Thanks for the ideas. I think I will try the egg muffins. I'm all about cooking ahead and re-heating. 1 Leepers reacted to this
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted March 22, 2014 I usually have a romaine lettuce wrap - take a big leaf of lettuce and fill it up with hot sirloin, garlic mustard and pickle relish; or maybe chicken warmed up with some red pepper sauce, tuna salad, or deli turkey with a melted laughing cow cheese.< /p> The sirloin version is about 75 calories, 2 carbs, and 13 grams of Protein. Very filling and delicious! Thanks to Cindy for the tip 1 Gettingsexyback reacted to this
hair176 7 Posted March 23, 2014 I mix 3/4 cup Kellog's Protein cereal with Dannon's Light and Fit Greek vanilla yogurt. It's 200 calories and 22 grams of protein. It's delicious and filling. 2 millergirl314 and Gettingsexyback reacted to this

pink dahlia 2,513 Posted March 23, 2014 I dont seem to do well 1st thing in the am with typical breakfast foods, but I have to eat something to wake up my stomach. About an hour after a cup of hot tea I have Belvita breakfast biscuits ( 19 grams Protein, 230 cals, costco, Walmart , or any grocery store , in the cookie aisle, the cinnamon brown sugar are the best!) , later I might have a few almonds or Sommersaults, a sunflower seed snack, or a little turkey Jerky. pink dahlia 2,513 Posted March 23, 2014 Sorry, that was supposed to be 19 grams whole grain, and 4 grams Protein for the Belvitas.
atelux17 135 Posted March 23, 2014 Steel cut oatmeal. Mixed with preserves & ricotta & nuts. Yum. 1 Gettingsexyback reacted to this

Leepers 1,195 Posted March 25, 2014 Just a little update: today I made the muffins with Reynolds foil muffin wraps. I still sprayed them with Pam. Worked out perfectly and a lot less mess to clean.
