ualaw08 270 Posted March 22, 2014 This week I have been juicing! My concoction including purple cabbage, carrots, cilantro, parsley, spinach, apples and grapes. One scoop of unflavored Protein Powder. In addition to my juice I are a piece of meat (salmon or some kind of fish). I not only had energy out of the roof but pooped for an hour last night and dropped almost 4 pounds this week! Additionally I have not seen one strand of hair laying around here. Hope everyone else had a great week! 3 gmanbat, able2cope and She's_Sleeved reacted to this

Butterflyhigh 504 Posted March 23, 2014 Daily juicing does amazing things for your body. Your hair will be super shiny and thick, your skin will have a noticeable glow, nails will be strong and grow quicker, the poop...amazing, energy levels will skyrocket, a mental clarity will become apparent. It is so cool! Do a 30 day challenge. One juice (preferably veggie) per day for 30 days. I swear to you, you be want to shout from the roof tops the positive effects you experience. O-Town Body Rock 148 Posted April 1, 2014 Im definitely looking to juice post-op. Im concerned about the sodium in the broth and drinking all the Protein Shakes so juicing is #1 on my list. Anyone talk to their dr. about juicing post-op?
gomekast 559 Posted April 1, 2014 I juice for my family, and just last week wanted to add some Protein powder to it. Thanks for posting this...I will be trying it now.

Anyone talk to their dr. about juicing post-op? I did with mine. True juicing, where the pulp is ssperated from the juice was fine with my program. Juicing via just blending it all up was a no go. Talk to your program tho to be safe.

I just really plan on juicing mostly veggies to stay away from the sugars in fruit.< /p>

gomekast 559 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) If anyone has any good juicing advice, recipes, etc. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! Add in 2 or 3 apples after the veggies to cut the bitter taste. Also, I went to the book store and bought a book called the juice bible. Lots of recipes and tips. Edited April 1, 2014 by gomekast
moonlitestarbrite 902 Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) apple juice can make you dump... even with a sleeve. so be careful. maybe carrots, red peppers and sweet potatoes for a sweet taste. i did mostly cucumber and lettuce right after surgery. lil bit of ginger, spinach and berries. gomekast 559 Posted April 2, 2014 Nearly all of my juice is all green items. Whole bag of spinach, whole head celery, few kale leaves, whole cucumber, then 2 green apples. I've taught people to start with a green base and add in one apple at a time and then taste the batch to see what else you want in it. The green stuff has less sugars than the other produce out there. Apples yes are sugary, but so are carrots. My husband makes his owm juice and uses carrots. I avoid it if it isnt green, to keep from crashing hard. Any orange colored produce makes my kids dump, so thats partly why I stick with the greens. One other thing...peel the oranges before juicing those...I had an early morning once and forgot too! Opps!

gomekast 559 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm curious what everyone else's batches of juice are. I need to expand past my green state, if possible. Not willing to go starchy either. Ideas? and my produce looks just as sad Moon!
