heatherdawn 43 Posted March 21, 2014 I am 3 weeks post op. I am down 15 pounds since surgery. I am usually drinking about 48 oz fluids and getting 60 gr Protein and taking my Vitamins. I am noticing that I am retaining Fluid again in my ankles but nowhere near ad much as I used to. A normal day is a Protein Shake for Breakfast, Greek yogurt around 11, cottage cheese 1/2 cup around 2, and 3 of puréed tuna, chicken or 1/2 c refried Beans around 6. Occasionally I also eat 2 tbsp of PB2. I am afraid I am able to take in too much already. Am I overeating? Yesterday I was at 653 calories. Carbs were 52. I am just nervous I am not on the right track
RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted March 21, 2014 Please... The calorie count is too low. But it is expected at this point. Up your Water intake and carry on... Your doing great...Try to aim for a lower carb count and a higher veggie and fruit intake. K Your body is in turmoil from the surgery. It will dictate to you what it wants at this point. You are in the honeymoon phase and will loss weight. Your geared for it... Do me a favor and don't weigh yourself every day. Just look at how your clothes are fitting you and the changes in your body for now...People get way to caught up in the numbers... Protein, Water, veggies, fruit, carbs..... 2 DeniseNCC1701 and StephanieRR reacted to this
DeniseNCC1701 306 Posted March 21, 2014 I'm just short of 4 weeks out. I agree with RJ, seems like you can take a bit more, but if your hunger is satisfied, carry on! You're going to do great… Protein first, carbs later. Be well…
