michelev97 27 Posted March 21, 2014 I have between stuck for three weeks. I'm closing in to the 160land, but just a few pounds away. I've increased my workouts, but I know I haven't been as good as I could on my diet. I've started getting hungrier lately probably because of the exercising. Any suggestions on how to combat this? Miss Mac 6,262 Posted March 21, 2014 Try the Mark's Daily Apple website. Our post -op diets are very similar to primal/paleo and you may be interested in the information there about fitness and nutrition. He encourages Intermittant Fasting (such as the 5:2 plan) as a way to break a plateau. I had been hesitating on trying 5:2, but it has worked for many, many people in this forum. So, I am giving it a go now to see how I do with that. Onething that that he suggests, as a retired professional triathlete, is that people tend to engage in chronic cardio which causes injury, wears people out, and increases hunger. Mark's plan explains ways to do strength training at all levels of ability. It also includes reasons why we should do more walking and basic movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, lunges, and playing to help burn fat. Hope this helps.
