Larryh 5 Posted March 21, 2014 As anyone experienced that food tastes different? in fact, I swear that the tip/front of tongue was numb for the first month after surgery. The numbness has passed but my tastes are different. It like the back taste buds are Ok but the front buds are not working. This may be a coincidence, in any case food is not enjoyable anymore. As an update, I have lost 50 lbs since my jan 2nd surgery. Gone from 2XL to large and from 44 waist to 37 waist. Freaking out a little bit about the rapid weight lost too. Dooter 1,457 Posted March 21, 2014 Yup. It comes back. Full force. I was hoping not, but it did.
Dooter 1,457 Posted March 21, 2014 You're not losing too fast at all by standards of wls. Take FULL advantage of the next 4 to 6 months, because the loss will stop like hitting a brick wall. Make hay while the sun is shining.
