I think coffee is fine, like a cup or so, not a whole lot as it is a diuretic and may undo all of your Water drinking. Decaf should be fine...

Both my nut and surgeon said that coffee is fine. They both said that in the past they restricted it but no longer think its a problem. I've been drinking 2 cups/ day since about 2 weeks out.

I was off coffee for 4 months. I now am back up to 2-3cups a day . Honestly , it helps with my Fluid intake. Doc has no issue with it , either.

I drink Decaf. I was told cream and artificial sweeteners are okay. Also sugar free syrups are allowed. Any Creamers are allowed, even flavored.

I was a coffee freak before my pre-op diet. When I read NO caffiene, sugar, or carbonation while doing my homework for the surgery, I decided to kick the habit. I drank my last cup of coffee December 26th and started my preop diet the 27th. Kicked sugar and carbonation as well. Since then I have been told I can have it in moderation. However, my skin looks amazing! I'm not for sure which of the 3 has made the difference so I dedcided to just make it a permanant change. I feel super about it. I do occasionally allow myself a cup of Decaf tea if I feel like I'm missing my coffee too much. :D
