lapnicky 39 Posted March 20, 2014 I was wondering what's better? Is there a difference with consistency or digestion? Isopure or Unjury unflavored powder?
Tiki 74 Posted March 20, 2014 Unjury is the BEST. I buy unflavored mixed it with Water and crystal light. Yummy!!!
joatsaint 2,814 Posted March 20, 2014 (edited) I've only used Isopure. I mix it into my food after it's cooked. No real flavor, but it does have a little pasty feeling in my mouth. Edited March 20, 2014 by joatsaint
gomekast 559 Posted March 20, 2014 Try both and decide for yourself. I like Unjury myself but tried them all before. Your sleeve will ultimately decide for you.
Recycled 2,182 Posted March 20, 2014 I'm giving up on the unflavored Isopure whey. I've tried adding it many times to foods and drinks and it just changes things too much. In hot stuff it clumps and changes the taste and texture considerably. Maybe for Athletes that can eat or drink 12 or more ounces at a time it would work. But trying to add it to a measly 3 ounces is just not worth the effort. Then again, maybe I'm doing it wrong, so I'm all ears for any advice.
Mrs.RRn 2,111 Posted March 20, 2014 I like Isopure, but "unflavored" isn't flavorless. It does change the flavor of some foods-- some for the better, some for the worse.
Bluesea71 698 Posted March 20, 2014 (edited) I haven't tried any of the unflavored brands yet, but noticed that the unflavored Protein supplements have less Protein than the flavored varieties. 10 grams of protein per serving (vs. 20-30 flavored!). Someone mentioned a brand called bipro (biprousa.com) so I did some research. Their unflavored variety has 20 grams of protein per serving. The person who recommended it said it was the only brand they could tolerate and it mixed in nicely to foods. Personally I will stomach anything to help get more protein into me post surgery! It's more expensive than the other brands, but you're getting more nutrients for your buck! Update: ok, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. I looked up unjury to compare and their protein is equivalent. Maybe it was the other brand that had less protein? It's almost midnight, I will look into it more after I'm well rested! lapnicky 39 Posted March 20, 2014 I just ordered Unjury unflavored and chocolate shakes. We'll see if helps. I'm six weeks post op and doc says I don't need Protein supplements. I'm feeling really weak and wonder if this is why.
Montse 1 Posted March 21, 2014 I love Unjury... I have unflavored that I use in many recipes. You can add it to drinks, Jello or pudding, yogurt, sauces, etc. It has no flavor at all.
