txbecca 0 Posted April 3, 2007 you have to walk. and walk and walk.. I found I had to walk every hour on the hour. if I walked, no gas pains, just sore. That I I had lots of gas-x
Berry 0 Posted April 3, 2007 I had the horrible gas pains!! I had the pain in my back/shoulder and neck. It was PAINFUL!! It took a good week for it to go away. Nothing much helped with my pain other than laying down on my side or back for a few days.
LapBandit 5 Posted April 4, 2007 Oh yeah...there are tons of threads on this topic! I never had laproscopic surgery before and that in itself can cause gas pains plus the band surgery can also irritate some nerve that causes shoulder pain, just like the gas does. So...I got the double-whammy and it wasn't fun at all. The good news...it only lasted a few days for me. I walked laps around my house every hour for at least 3-5 minutes. I also used a heating pad (some people say cold compresses feel better for them, but heat worked better for me) and I don't think it helped but I took chewable gas-x pills. Unfortunately, I agree with Berry...nothing helped me too much except time. But, of all the things I tried...the heat helped the most for me.
Iluvharleys 15 Posted April 4, 2007 Walking and drinking Water helps more than anything else. If your shoulder is hurting, use a heating pad. Those are the things that helped me the most!
