Hi... Yes I'm definitely bringing my phone and thought of bringing my iPad too ???

My surgeon says I can't hold anything more than 16 oz's for a few days? Surely my iPad weighs more than that..

I don't know, I got my bag out to start putting my things together. By reading everything on here and what people took with them, I'm going to end up with a damn trunk. Lmao...

What is everyone else bringing ?? It sure is setting in though. Quite the life changer, but by choice !!!

Ah huh that's so good to hear.. Yes I've read on a lot of those issues. One woman said to bring gas-x strips just in case. ??

My doctor is putting me anti- reflux meds for life, is that true for everyone else? I don't have any reflux issues now.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post....really excited for my new Sleeve on 4/28. Anyone else gone or going to Mexico/ Dr. Rodriguez?

Have done lots of homework & he gets great reviews. Just wondering if anyone else had experience with him or Beliteweight?

Thanks so much for the support!

I have off from work too. I still don't know my time yet, they are calling me after 3 to let me know. It is driving me crazy not knowing the time!!! I am bringing my cell so yes, I will log in as soon as I can. You do the same! It is wonderful to have someone going thru the exact same thing as you (at the same time)! By the way, my name is Laurel :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
