Mocha2871 182 Posted March 18, 2014 I was wondering, I use to get colonics years ago and it was a good thing then. But now I am wondering since having the surgery, will this not work for me now? I am worried that it will be to much for my stomach since I think that is where the Water is going when they do it. Just want to get others opinions.
CBF1000 13 Posted March 18, 2014 The Water doesn't make it to your stomach. I'm sorry to ask but you've had this procedure before and don't know exactly what it does or where the Water goes? I'm sorry I can't help laughing No offence.. 2 elfnow and PdxMan reacted to this

I am worried that it will be to much for my stomach since I think that is where the Water is going when they do it. Just want to get others opinions. You know I totally understand wanting one. I had my sleeve in July and 7 months later after losing 100 lbs I had gallbladder issues. I just had it removed on Feb 20th. I was so plugged up. I did not go to bathroom number 2 for 7 to 8 days. So misserable. So I would ask your doc if safe. I ended up getting off pain meds. They said it was a major blocker. Once I stopped and got on align (pro biotic) it was such a releaf. I have never had one but understand the wanting to feel the releaf.
MaryE 27 Posted March 18, 2014 Colonics are never a good idea. I believe they are dangerous could perforate intestines etc. Water never enters stomach just bowels. Better to take milk of magnesia for cleansing. 1 elfnow reacted to this
SherriS 4 Posted March 18, 2014 I have always wanted a colonic and wish I had gotten it before my surgery. I'm curious as to how long you should wait before you get one also.
Mocha2871 182 Posted March 18, 2014 Well I thought it had something to do with the stomach area because when they do it you feel so bloated so thats why I thought that but thats ok you can laugh. lol
MaryE 27 Posted March 18, 2014 Mocha. Sorry I wasn't laughing at you. Your stomach was just feeling the pressure of Water in intestines. I would not do it. It you feel bloated and built up try milk of magnesia liquid it it gentle on your stomach and mild. And don't have to worry about scary side effects.
Cabingirl 55 Posted March 18, 2014 uh, yeah... colonics are typically delivered rectally, and unless you have very unique plumbing, the liquid doesn't travel up into your stomach. Colon(ic) - get it? Seriously, if you haven't done it for years you may want to rethink why you would be doing it now. Of course, if you are really serious, that's a question for your physician.
