I'm so crabby! I feel light headed and I can't concentrate. I don't know how I'm going to make it through this week at work.

Tell me it gets better! Please!

The day got better. For dinner I made chicken broth with real garlic and Italian spice. I can't believe how good it tasted.

My husband is eating his dinner. I just couldn't stand to watch it.

When is your surgery? Mine is 4/3, and I think I will need to start my preop diet on Thursday. Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for you since I'm not on the pre op diet yet, but I will just wish you the best of luck. I'll be in the same boat soon. Hang in there.

Thanks! I'm March 28th. He is going to have to brush his teeth after eating before he kisses me. This is ridiculous!

Good luck to you!

Is it any better for you? I am on day 9, and it has definitely got much easier for me. I can now actually sit at the table with my hubby and have some Soup while he eats his dinner.

I am doing so much better! It's easier than I thought actually. The first few days it seemed like I was hungry all the time.

Today I had a shake two hours ago and I'm just not hungry. I've lost five pounds since Monday woo HOO!

I'm hoping to get under 300 by surgery date.

I got my period today so I bet I've lost even more fat and I'm just bloated.

Of course I would have to get my period while on liquid. I want to eat something normal so bad I feel like crying.

Maybe the stress will keep you from getting it!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
