Still swollen at large incision site - Date of Surgery (2/27/14)

Is it normal to have a hard swollen area around the large incision site? Reminds me of when my wife was pregnant and the baby's foot or head was pushing out... 2+ weeks post op and have gone onto soft foods (Stage 2?)

I'm not on mushies yet, but I am 2 wks post-op and can still see the "bump" that you are talking about.

Yes, you're still healing not even a whole month yet. Be patient and it will go down. Congrats on being banded.

That small mound is most likely your port and won't go anywhere. There may be some additional swelling near the incision site but the hard mound, here to stay.

It took my port incision 6 weeks to close all the way. The bump is probably your port.
