So I am going to be receiving benefits through California Health and Wellness Medi-Cal and I know tat they cover bariatric surgery I was just wondering if anyone has had surgery or is already in the process of getting surgery and also has CA health and wellness....If so, was it difficult to get approval? also did you get an ok choice of surgeons?? hope to hear from someone who has this same insurance :) thanks

I have Medicare and Medi-Cal. Medicare will be covering 80% of my surgery and Medi-Cal will be covering the remaining 20%. I hope you're covered. Keep us updated. :)

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
