Yes too much sugar:

Premier Protein strawberries and cream has 30 g Protein and only 1 g sugar

EAS Advantage Carb Control Protein has 17g protein and no sugar

Just some suggestions.

I prefer Pure Protein Drinks. initially I bought the frosty chocolate with 23g Protein, 1g sugar. it is absolutely delicious! then I thought I'd be smart and bought the one with 35g protein. that was a mistake. that one has a more chalky taste and not nearly as tasty as the 23g. my nutritionist said both were fine. they have lots of favors.

I agree - Pure Protein is a really good one, and I also like Muscle Milk Light in both Choc and vanilla. They 14 oz size (too big by half) only has 12 grams sugar, and two of those are in the Fiber. It has 25 grams protein - and lots of drug stores carry it, as does Target.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much sugar. I am a recovering sugar carb addict before going into recovery (6 month supervised diet) I would probably be licking my lips rubbing my hands together at the sound of 26grams of sugar lmbo.....just kidding but seriously that's a lot of sugar and I think you could find one u really like without that much sugar. Premier Protein, powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury & Chike r a few with a very low sugar content but r very tasty to me. Each person palate is different but u will find one that u like.

Out of the 3 I mentioned even though I love the taste of Chike the best it has a higher carb count of I believe 9 grams of carb depending on the flavor. My Bariatrician viewed the nutritional values and said it's fine but ur plan could be different. Sending skinny vibes ur way and much success on ur WLS journey.

I prefer the Protein Powder to the rtd ones, but my favorite rtd is ensure high Protein. Muscle milk was ok to me before surgery but I can't tolerate it now. As far as powders, I like Syntrax Nectar chocolate and double stuffed cookie.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
