stacielynntate 88 Posted July 18, 2014 Had my revision to sleeve on 6/18 and boy can't believe a month has already passed. I'm down 27 lbs and slowly getting back to my normal self. I still get worn out each day (doesn't help work is crazy and stressful right now). I'm still struggling to get all my Protein in and just don't know what to do. I really can't stand the Protein Shakes but force myself to get at least one down a day. I'm still on soft foods and liquids for another 2 weeks. I can also start to work out lightly so planning my gym trips. I still have one incision that needs to finish healing and then I can get back to swimming also. Good news is with what I have lost my knees are not bothering like they where, thank god as I could barley get thru a day. My boss and co-workers have been great and the support they give me is awesome. They make sure I'm eating, get up and walk and not sitting at my desk all day. Can't wait to see what the next month brings.

Smkjelstadli 1 Posted July 19, 2014 Hello everyone! Would y'all please share what you are eating during phase three, purée. I'm having such a hard time!
RKPG2angels 11 Posted July 19, 2014 Hello everyone! Would y'all please share what you are eating during phase three, purée. I'm having such a hard time! I think my favorite thing during the purée stage was malt o meal or different Canned Soups put through the bleeder. Also unsweetened applesauce, sugar free pudding, sugar free fudgcicles, low fat Greek yogurts. If you have a food processor you can purée practically anything though

mt_hi_liner 21 Posted July 23, 2014 Curious what calorie intake others are having. I was sleeved 6/19 and am running in the 700 - 900 range. I am losing weight but it is slowing down. It was pretty crazy there for awhile around a pound a day.

I would up your Water and reduce calories a little... how do you get in 900 calories?

I would up your Water and reduce calories a little... how do you get in 900 calories? My doctor has very little limits at this stage so I have a couple of Protein drinks ... that is 320 cal. I snack on beef Jerky and almonds. Normally a 150 - 300 calories in a day depending on what and the amount. I eat fish, burger, tuna fish, canned chicken or something like that for dinner. That is usually 3 to 4 ounces and typically good for 300 calories. Normally adds up to around 700 - 900 calories. Probably should note that I am a male and I don't know if that makes a difference. Patricks_Downsizing 15 Posted July 23, 2014 There's nothing wrong with that amount of calories. Keep focusing on high Protein, low carb and lots of Water and exercise. The scale does it's own thing at different times. Don't weigh yourself too much and just be healthy. The weight will come off. 2 Smkjelstadli and tiffnichole76 reacted to this
tiffnichole76 36 Posted July 23, 2014 Good feedback. For some of us the weight loss is slower, but just think..... Your skin won't be saggy and hopefully the weight will stay off. I'm a revision patient so I was already expecting slower weight loss. I'm fine until someone who knows I had surgery ask, ho much have ya lost. Ugggh......I just keep walking, drinking Protein Shakes, Water and counting calories with my fitness pal. Eventually the weight will cone off.....how can it not with such restricted calories. Focus on what your doctor and nutritionist said and try not to weigh yourself for awhile. It'll get better. 1 Patricks_Downsizing reacted to this
Pietzsapie 14 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) I was sleeved June 9th. So I'm in my 7th week. I've lost 40lbs. I had a 2 1/2 week stall that was so discouraging. It finally passed. I have had no trouble getting things down. Some days I struggle to want to eat ( just not hungry) other days I'm at top of my range. I was weighing myself a lot at first. Now I only weigh once a week. I didn't put this all on overnight. It's not gonna come off overnight. STAY THE COURSE!!!!! Have faith in yourself. Most importantly don't compare yourself to anyone else. This is your journey not theirs. Everyone will be different. I look forward to seeing all of our success stories and pictures! I'm documenting pics of pre op, 6 weeks, 4 months, 6 months, and 1year. It was pretty crazy there for awhile around a pound a day. Hi, I usually get in around 700 now. Before this week, I had a hard time getting over 500. I am eating more often to get in the extra calories, which my doctor recommended. I was sleeved on June 17 and have lost 24 as of last Sunday. Trying my hardest to only weigh once a week. SelahSelah 0 Posted July 26, 2014 Hi, This is my first time posting. I had my sleeve on June 25th. I did well on the liquid portion. Although, I had a hard time finding a Protein Drink without artificial sweeteners. But last week, I started the mushy phase and have not been able to find the right balance. I am throwing up quite a bit. I hate to say it, but I'm afraid of food now. I've gone back to the liquid diet. It seems much easier. Has anyone had a similar issue? Also, I am having a hard time getting enough Water in. It has been really hot and I feel dehydrated. I developed a heat rash that I have been trying to heal. I feel a little overwhelmed. I'm still glad I had the operation, but I feel I don't know anything about how to do this. Can anyone relate?
tiffnichole76 36 Posted July 26, 2014 @ Contact your doctors office, mine prescribed a stomach acid blocker and it works wonders.
