Potential fall sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I have completed all my preliminary tests - just need to meet with my nutritionist 6 months to meet the BCBS MN requirements. I plan to enjoy the summer and build up my muscle mass so I don't get too flabby when the weight falls off.

Like wise, I been drinking Protein, exercising, just preparing myself I am ready !!!!!

That's awesome for everybody. I'm almost half way through my process. I have my 3rd of 6 supervised diet appointments next week. Then I only have my May, June, and July visits left and then it can be submitted. I've lost and gained during these 3 months but have tried my best and learned so much thus far about Protein first, staying hydrated, Vitamins, portion size etc. I'm really excited for a second chance and am really looking forward to it.

I started my journey a month ago and just had my first follow up / weigh in with my surgeon today. So far I've lost 9 pounds so I am excited about that. I'm hoping to have my surgery around September once I jump through all these hurdles for the insurance company. Good luck everyone!!

Im one and a half months into the process of getting the sleeve. I'm finding it hard to get my butt moving to go for walks.

I also was a huge ice cream eater which I stopped eating it a while ago. Just yesterday I bought some and ate it then I was so mad at myself. I'm I know I should start out like 10 minutes a day. I guess I just needed to get that off my chest.

I just attended my first appointment with the nutritionist. My insurance requires 3 month supervised diet and pysch visit, so I'm hoping for a Sept/Oct surgery. I'm excited, but nervous! Good luck to you all.

I wish I had to wait 3months. Six months is a long time...at least for it is.

I go tomorrow for my consultation and seminar. To my knowledge I will not have to do a six month wait but I am not totally sure. I will definitely update my status tomorrow night. Do you?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
