Keep it up, sometimes we have to go back a little bit to progress even more. You may even being gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. Good luck to you and don't loose faith! It will work! Keep on doing good with it!

You can expect exactly what is happening to you. Your body is not even healed yet. Careful to keep the Protein intake high. If you don't you may stay where you are for a while. your body is in protection mode....It is in danger it thinks so it stops until it feels it is safe..Amazing right!

Just keep to the program and the weight will start to go again......

Fat and muscle weigh the same by the way..the only difference is muscle is more dense then fat. ;)

March 4th and I'm in the exact same boat. I've not lost anything the past couple of days and I'm up a couple of pounds. I've been getting more Water in the last few days (and probably sodium too). I was kind of dehydrated but I'm doing better now. So I'm telling myself that it's probably water weight.

Throw away your scales- have a loved one lock them up!

I am pre-op but just had this conversation with my husband and daughter. When I come home after surgery, I don't want the scale to be in my sight for the first month. Then I have asked that it only come out 1 day a week and be locked back up. I personally cannot take the stress of being a slave to the scale.< /p>

Deep breath. Relax. No matter what happens, just keep following your plan as close to the letter as you possibly can. The weight will take care of itself. You have to allow your body to find its own way in its own time. It's going to do that anyway no matter how much you stress over the number on the scale. Your journey will be so much less stressful if you just focus your energy on following your plan. Celebrate every day that you do that. Every day is a success. Stay away from the scales for at least a week and two would be even better.

You're gonna love the new you!!

I agree with DL. Trust me you'll be fine I'm 4wks post op and 45lbs down. I also had a stall but it doesn't last forever. I finally decided to have my husband hide the scale and I only weigh in once a week. Nothing more Nothing less.

I was a cheerleader in high school and college ...When I graduated high school and got married I weighed 98 lbs soaking wet!! After three kids and health issues my high weight was 220. WOW! what a difference!???? I know to some people that doesn't sound so bad but when you are 5ft 1 inch short, that's alot!!! So blessed to have this new life about to begin. Taking my grandkids on spring break next march to Celebrate my one year anniversary. Hope to be as small as my grandkids. Lol. Wish me luck!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
