katieTC 11 Posted March 16, 2014 How long did people wait before they had a drink. My surgeon told me 4 months but he never said why. Does anyone know why you have to wait so long and how long did you all wait before u had a glass or red? Or whatever floats your boat
Bob2013 326 Posted March 16, 2014 At 2 months I was sipping on the wifes beers when we went to our favorite craft beer place. I never get my own due to not wanting the excess of extra calories. But I had no issues.
whodatgirl 58 Posted March 17, 2014 My doctor told me to wait 8 weeks, and I waited 7 weeks, 6 days. It seemed like forever. That was honestly the worst part of my surgery. I felt completely abnormal. At the time, I was trying to keep my surgery quiet, and it was very difficult to come up with a reason to not meet someone for happy hour or have a glass of wine with dinner.< /p>
shadowgal 0 Posted March 18, 2014 Used to love beer, but it's just to "fizzy" for me. I can drink white wine though and I am 4 mos. post op.
Ariella 73 Posted March 18, 2014 My surgeon requires no booze for a year due to the risk of addiction transfer. Also the extra calories and carbs.
