tyt221b 63 Posted March 16, 2014 My husband can't take me to my post op appointment Wednesday and I don't think I should be driving the 80 miles myself yet. In order to get my mother in law to take me, I had to say we'd go to pf chang's, which is right next door to my doctor. I'll still be on my liquid phase, but one day away from liquids/soft foods. I noticed my handouts had egg drop Soup listed as a suggestion during this phase, but not hot and sour. According to the company's website, the hot and sour has less fat and calories. Is there some reason to avoid the hot and sour if I just eat the broth? 1 ShawnaLanne reacted to this

I'm 2 hours away from my surgeon, so I feel your pain there. I haven't had to go by myself yet, thank goodness.

I went to all my pre-op appointments alone, which didn't bother me in the least, but driving that far right after surgery scares me a little.
sciara80 4 Posted March 17, 2014 I would ask your surgeon as all plans are different but I was able to eat that Soup around the same time post op. For me though it didn't sit well, however the wonton soup was perfect!
tyt221b 63 Posted March 20, 2014 I ate the Soup yesterday with no problems. It was wonderful. I just ate the broth and the little chunks of tofu since my doctor told me to go ahead and start with soft foods.
