Holiday in France post op - how long should I wait?

I like to split my time between Brittany and England - May France, June England, July France, August England, September France, October back in England until May. I'm not sure whether I should wait for October for my op or go for June and hope for the best.

Would think you would want to wait until at least 6 weeks out to travel. At least on my post op plan, there was a good bit to keep up on for the first six weeks that might be more difficult to accomplish on the road. At six weeks you should be mostly unrestricted as far as diet and which would seem more travel friendly.

I seem to remember reading six weeks is ideal too. However, how about all the Americans that travel to Mexico for surgery? It must be safe to fly, guess that is built into their care plan. How does that work? Sorry, don't mean to confuse things, just a thought.

As Koofka said I would leave it 6 weeks too. I found eating out in the early days to be a nightmare and make sure I am home or take food with me now for that reason.

I think its different when flying/travelling home from Mexico to the states as they will not need to worry about eating out etc in the early days as they will be on fluids.

I had my sleeve in Czech Rep and flew home after 4 days, I was tired but fine.
