Rooben 1 Posted March 16, 2014 I like to split my time between Brittany and England - May France, June England, July France, August England, September France, October back in England until May. I'm not sure whether I should wait for October for my op or go for June and hope for the best.
Koofka 59 Posted March 16, 2014 Would think you would want to wait until at least 6 weeks out to travel. At least on my post op plan, there was a good bit to keep up on for the first six weeks that might be more difficult to accomplish on the road. At six weeks you should be mostly unrestricted as far as diet and which would seem more travel friendly.

However, how about all the Americans that travel to Mexico for surgery? It must be safe to fly, guess that is built into their care plan. How does that work? Sorry, don't mean to confuse things, just a thought. I'd check it out with your specialist team.
willow13 59 Posted March 28, 2014 As Koofka said I would leave it 6 weeks too. I found eating out in the early days to be a nightmare and make sure I am home or take food with me now for that reason.I think its different when flying/travelling home from Mexico to the states as they will not need to worry about eating out etc in the early days as they will be on fluids.
