EXACTLY!!! My husband is already complaining that my booty is getting too small!! Believe me... there is plenty more left of it!!!

Thank God for men who like women with some softness to them! I don't want to be a total skin and bones woman and neither does my husband....sounds like yours' are the same way!! God Bless!

Sandra,

I am sorry your in what I call a blue funk. But like you said...a great shopping trip might just pick you up. Is it bad that your not hungry? maybe your at your sweet spot. I really don't get hungry either. Just been grazing to fill some emotional void I guess. I managed to get back on track yesterday. I decided that since Ice Cream is my downfall, I would start making my delicious shakes that I invented along time ago. I had to go buy a blender last night..but you put:

one cup of fat free milk

8 ice cubes

1/4 the packet (small box) of sugar free pistashio pudding mix

a little splenda

blend the heck out of it and it makes a great milkshake.

You can even put some fruit in it if you like.

My friend was telling me that she invented one too.

she buys:

1 of the bottles of drinkable yogurt

about 8ish ice cubes

splenda

and blends it up in the mixer and it makes a really creamy milk shake for onl.y 80 cals. she says it makes a really big one.

I am going to try that too.

That should curb my craving for ice cream

Melissa,

I am sorry about the problem with your ears. Have you looked up the symtoms on WebMD - Better information. Better health.

It is a great site.

Blessings all,

Back on track.

Melissa-Congrats on the no longer "morbid" title! I looked up how much more I have to lose the "obese" title. I would have to be down to 179 (that seems light years away).

I have been working out like crazy and making good food choices. No real loss lately. I want to be down to onederland by the 29th. I don't think that is going to happen since I just had some Taco Bueno. I get so bummed because I ate good for a week and worked my butt off and only lost a pound. I guess I should have had head surgery instead of the band!

I so suck on the picture thing! I give up!

My doctor says I should weigh about 165. She said that you can not expect to weigh 130 after you have been overweight for a while, because your body builds bone and muscle to support your frame. I am 5'5" and a size 18. She says I would be about a 8 at 165 (don't know about that). I am not sure I ever weighed 130??

twinmommy.... That makes sense... Your bone and muscle increasing to support your frame ... Never thought about it that way!

Weighed in this morning at 175 lbs. I feel like I should feel smaller, but I dont!! Did that make any sense????? I am 10 lbs from my goal weight...but I dont think I am going to be satisfied when I get there. I always told my self that if I could get to a size 12 I would be thrilled. I dont think I will be satisfied!!!

Melissa,

Congradulations on your milestone! Isn't it wonderful! i am so happy for you!

Twinmommy, I am sorry to say that your doctor is wrong about the size thing. I am 5 51/2 in. In my 20's and 30's I always ranged from 155 - 165. I wore a size 9/10 or a 11/12. For me to wear a size 8 then I would have had to weigh in the low 140's or high 130's. Maybe sizes are different now. I don't no. But, I think maybe they are.

Anyway. I think we are all different. Are bodies are shaped different. Maybe I wore a 11/12 because I have hips. No butt, but I do have hips.

When I was 205, I was wearing and 18 as well. Then I went to a 16..now I am in a 14. I did fit into that one pair of 12's but I think it was just the brand. Anyway. Let me know what size you end up in. It will be interesting. Sixtynine pds is allot to loose. I am proud of you!

Blessings, Weazer

I hit the 70 lb. mark this morning! Whoo Hoo!

I figure I will get to 165 and then see how I feel. At 165 we will probably go to a consult with a Plastic Surgeon and get his opinion on what I should have done. I could probably have a good 10 lbs of belly skin removed. It's pretty bad!

My doc said that she has lost 79 lbs and kept it off for 3 years. She did not have the band, she just dieted. She weighs 160 and is a 8. She said before she was overweight she was an 8 at 135. Who knows? Right now 165 sounds like heaven. If I can get to onderland soon that will be the first time in 10 years that I have weighed that little.

I know when I graduated High School I was 156 and in a 14. It looked much cuter then than it would now (because of the belly). I put on my honeymoon nighty the other night, and it was gross. I weighed about 230 when I wore it on our honeymoon, but it looked better then (before two back to back pregnancys, c-sections, & carrying twins for 38 weeks). I know at least a TT is in my future, and while they are in there maybe some implants (since those were the first things I lost on this journey).

Twinn Mommy,

I know exactly what you mean....just read back a couple of pages and I was saying the same exact thing. I have a suit case full of clothes that I can not quit fit into yet. I have been wearing a size 14 forever now and figured to try some other 12 and 14 that I have. Well they all fit but look horrible on me. I remember weighing 175 and wearing a very comfortable, cute looking 12. Its like your weight has shifted into places you cant seem to get rid of. Well atleast we are healthier...right?

Sandra,

I was just wondering about your height...because I can picture how skinny you are better.

I bet you look fantastic. Tall and slim.

How fantastic!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
