Thanks Sandra Hang in there I know how you feel. Until this morning my scale hadnt moved in almost a week. I know I am eating what I am supposed to and being as active as I am ready to be so I know it WILL happen. This is not just some fad diet you signed up for this time stick with it and you will see results. Do MORE than just eat right and you will see even better results. As someone else also said your weight will change daily weekly ect.
crabcake 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Well I am a little frustrated today.....The scale has not moved since last week.....but now it is moving in the wrong direction. I gained a pound...I am still doing mushies. I am having about 800 to 900 calories a day. My Water intake is good....I cant seem to hit 64 oz. but I get real close...like yesterday I had 60 oz. I have not started walking or exersizing yet...but I would think that going from probably eating over 2000 calories a day or more to less than 1000 calories something would happen. I am starting to feel like this is not going to work for me. I know how you feel. I've probably been on every known diet (or at least own the book!) there is. But you're working with your band now, so it's bound to work. My suggestion is for you to stay off those scales!!! It's only been 2 weeks since you're surgery and you're body is still healing. I'm not going to worry about it until after my first fill (next week - yeah!). I mean I'm trying to eat better and I have been weighing myself, but my doctor told me the real weight loss won't start until you hit your 'sweet spot', usually after your 3rd fill. So cut yourself some slack! You're doing really well. p.s., I had the same thing happen to me last week, there was about 4 pounds that kept moving back and forth on my scales. Like I said...don't worry!

Dr. Hadar Spivak Houston, Texas Banded 5/22/2007 Highest weight 255 Surgery weight 242 current weight 229 goal weight 175 I know it's hard, but try not to get discouraged. Look how great you've already done! I know how you feel, though. This past week mine has fluctuated between 5 pounds. 5 crept up, 5 came off, 2 on 3 off. But part of it is that I weigh myself every day, sometimes twice (once morning, once night). Bad habit. I will be stopping it. But like was just said by muscle, pms, water, weather, all can affect our daily weight. Don't forget, we are adding stuff to our diets during some points. All will affect our weight till our bodies adjust. I think you are doing just great. Keep it up. Cindy
samiam 0 Posted June 6, 2007 :help: My band-buddy (mommytokk) and I are both due for our first fill tomorrow with Dr. Spivak - very excited! For those of you who have received your first fill...I have a question for you! Is there any advice you can give regarding the "belly status" prior to getting your first fill (or any fill)? Should you be NPO...Fluids only...Normal intake...on the the day you are to receive the fill? I don't recall reading anything where it may make a difference. Anyone? Thanks! samiam 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Dr. Spivak wants to see you 4 weeks post-op for the first visit. My guess is that if he determines you are not ready for the fill, you come back later. All I know is that I am ready for a big fill!! I could eat a horse!

Melissa S 1 Posted June 6, 2007 Maureen... I'm riding my stationary bike everyday... about 25-35 min. I also stay active during the day... housework, shopping (even if its just to get out and walk the mall). I think next week I'm going back to the gym and may join a Water aerobics class. Maya1983 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Hello, Today I got my first fill, I found out that I have a 10cc band and he filled it to 5.8cc. Do you think that is too much for a fist fill??? I have a friend who had it done 2yrs ago and she can not believe how tight he made it. I am thinking that maybe things changed since she had hers. What do you think??? It a little sore in my chest but its not too bad. Please let me know what you think. THANKS A MILLION
