Had my endoscopy yesterday and it may be a side effect, but I am so irritable and a little emotional today.

All in all, it seems like the closer I get to surgery, the worse I feel. I have muscle pains, shortness of breath, anxiety, and I just don't feel well. Am I making all or some of this up in my head?

Are you sure it's not TOM. Cmon, I'm a guy and that's our "go to" line for this. :P

Whether or not it's your moon time, that's irrelevant. You're about to have major life-altering surgery. Having that endoscope jammed down your throat yesterday is also incredibly invasive, and it is totally ok to be emotional about it. It brings the "realness" of it all home, and that's scary. Shoot, I start to get freaked out when I just read about the sleeve.

I have never had surgery/general anesthesia/spent a night in a hospital. I swing back and forth between being elated & terrified. One thing that really helped was that I talked to my surgeon about it and she made me feel a lot better.
