Stuck pill

I usually have no problems with swilling pills, but today I swallowed several together and one got stuck. It felt like it was right below my throat and back near my neck!!! The stuck feeling has lasted all day! I took the pill at about 7:30 this morning. I have drunk liquids and eaten solids with no trouble but I still have a chocking feeling at times! Any suggestions?

Yuck. That's a bad feeling. Probably the pill just dissolved right there and now there's some irritation left. Should go away in a couple of days, but just don't eat anything rough or really spicy...baby your throat for now. I'm sure you won't do this again! (My band doc told me to always take my pills one at a time and allow them to pass the band before putting in the next one.)

Hello I am so sorry you had that happen. I actually had pill induced esophagitis after having a root canal that damaged the nerves in my face. Which in turn affected the nerves right under the chin and throat. So when I went to swallow my "everyday meds" they got stuck. I tried bread, yogurt, even oil and hot beverages. After a hospital stay they went down. Anyhow I absolutely agree...your esophagus could be very irritated and perhaps be a bit scratched up. It does heal. In the mean time I agree be careful with your eating because it can irritate. Other option my doctor put me on an acid pill to make sure they stayed down to give my throat time to heal. It was a pretty slow recovery for me personally. Listen to your body right? It will be ok
