jaybro 31 Posted March 14, 2014 Sorry, just have to vent for a sec. Everything is going great (had my surgery this past Tuesday), and I'm recovering nicely. BUT THESE GAS CRAMPS!! Ugh! They are killing my shoulders and collarbones! I've walked around stores. I've walked around my house. I have heat packs on my shoulders, but I can't get over the discomfort. Okay, that's all. Just had to vent! LOL 2 Leepers and dawalsh reacted to this

The only things that helped me was chewable gas-x and walking helps subside the pain slightly. Congratulations on your surgery and good luck ! Hope this helps:)
bluegudren 156 Posted March 14, 2014 Karate type fast chopping and tapping on the back and shoulders gets it out super fast!
prettyandbrwn 40 Posted March 14, 2014 My surgery date is 4/3/2014, and this pain scares me. I've never had gas or heart burn. I have seen the pain in others and I do not want it.
bluegudren 156 Posted March 14, 2014 My boyfriend did sharp short medium hard taps on my back and I had zero gas back pain. 1 prettyandbrwn reacted to this
prettyandbrwn 40 Posted March 14, 2014 I will employ both my boyfriend and daughter to aide in avoiding the dreaded gas pain.
jamilyne 102668 1,207 Posted March 14, 2014 You can also try a heating pad, the warmth sometimes helps, gas-x strips, the walking, a Tylenol, warm tea - those are some of the things that helped me. I hope you feel better soon - I know it sucks, but it does subside!
Leepers 1,195 Posted March 14, 2014 I had it for a while too. Soon it will all be a distant memory.
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted March 15, 2014 Karate chops! Thank you! I just had my daughter do this for me and wow, what relief. I don't even care if it's temporary. This is getting its own thread. 1 valarie kk reacted to this
