Recommended Posts

I know im not a march post opp im april post opp rny. I have decided to write a post cuz ive noticed that myself and 2others are around the same loss around same time and the 3of us seem to beating ourselves up feeling that not enough loss all 20_24pound loss. I jus looking to see if i can get any words of advise i can share. Thanx.

only thing I have to offer is to not compare your loss to others, everyone is different. Take every pound loss as a step forward, and stay away from the scales, I weigh myself no more than every other week.

I'm at a point right now where I hate food. I am really hungry, and I get headaches if I don't eat. But nothing tastes good. Nothing sounds good. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes i am having the same issue. I had mac and cheese for the first time this weekend since surgery which use to be my fav food and it did not taste as good as it use to. It made me so sad. But it stayed down which I am happy about. I am only 7 weeks out though so maybe it will get better. I hope so.

I think that we can't eat enough food to enjoy it...that's my problem at least. I take a couple bites and I feel full or it feels stuck...I don't get satisfaction from food anymore but I think that's the point..to not indulge in it?

I have a had a big problem with family understanding what is going on. I recently went on a family trip to visit my brother and niece in Florida and of course I am limited on what I can eat. My aunt who was at the hospital with me the day of my surgery And my surgeon told her and my mom what was happening and everything. This hole trip she was continuously asking me did I eat what can I eat what you gonna eat why you not eating that is all you gonna eat? It became very annoying by the 3rd day and I started to get very frustrated. Every time she asked I explained to her again and again no I cant eat that I am fine no that is fried cant have that don't worry I am good. I just feel like this is why I didnt tell every one about my sleeve cause I just hate explaining myself and why I eat or maybe dont eat the way I do. Does anyone else have this problem and if so how do you deal with this? Cause it is really starting to get to me.

The last post I made I stated that my appetite was poor, well, it went from poor to none. I was away interviewing for jobs out of state. I was 7 weeks post op. And then the projectile vomiting, nausea and stomach pain started. I was in the ER for 4 days but they only make you comfortable but wont do more. I had to fly home and head straight to my hospital and my surgeon found that my opening from my pounch to my intestine was completely closed. No wonder nothing went down. I had to have a GI doc open me up with doing an EGD with the tiny camera. Now the camera I was told also had trouble fitting in. Im still in the hospital and have to do it again out patient procedure in 2 weeks. Glad but also sad. Not a great experience. Had regrets.

Me too!! I'm hardly ever hungry. I have to force myself to eat most meals. If I'm busy outside I totally space off lunch.

I just told everyone except for my kids I had my gallbladder out! Lol. It's kind of funny my best friend had hers out about a year ago and gained 20 some lbs. She's just amazed how I've list 38 lbs since march 24th getting my gall bladder removed. She calls me a lucky B--- !!! Haha. If only they knew and I'll NEVER tell.

I had my surgery on March 10. I'm so sore and very tired. I'm able to stay awake for a few hours before I need a nap. Drinking is hard for me. I want to drink things with Protein, but they taste terrible. I like drinking Water, but I get cramps and gas when I drink. They recommend by day 3 post op I drink 6 oz per hour. This seems like a lot. Tomorrow I have to drink 8 oz per hour. Any suggestions?

I had my surgery March 6th and they had me drinking 1 oz per 15 minutes. I'm now allowed to do 1 oz every 10 minutes if needed. 6 oz's an hour? That seems like a lot to me. I can barely do that now and I'm 2 and half weeks post surgery.
